About Us
praXis is the arts and health network for the West Midlands region, bringing people together who are involved in arts and health to reflect on their work and share good practice.
What Do We Do?
praXis encourages the arts, health and community sectors to reflect on and share good practice. We facilitate discussion and debate by providing a range of vehicles:
A varied programme of popular events
A monthly e-bulletin, Community Pages and Social Media networking tools such as Facebook and Twitter to facilitate debate, discussion and support learning and reflective practice.
Praxis also represents the West Midlands on the National Forum for Arts and Health www.cultureandwellbeing.org.uk

How Do I Get Involved?
The praXis network is growing every day and at the last count had almost 500 members. Join praXis now, like us on Facebook or send us a Tweet and help to continue that success!
Management and Support
The praXis programme is managed by Creative Health (Arts & Health) CIC, an independent Community Interest Company. Creative Health oversees the joint planning, commissioning, delivery and profile-raising of arts and health work within the West Midlands. The company’s underlying principle is placing communities at the centre of the wellbeing agenda. Read more about Creative Health here.
praXis has been supported by a Grants for the Arts award from Arts Council England West Midlands since November 2009. We also receive project development support via direct commissions from major partners such as local authorities and NHS Trusts.
